Having moved ...Thank you for creating this article. Having moved to the area in mid 2019 i started walking in Ostler's Plantation. I walk the plantation almost every day and follow the less well trod paths that pass the buildings you photographed. Being a history buff I did learn much of the history pretty quickly but these 2013 photo provide a fascinating time lapse view of how the forest is changing. The litter problem does not seem quite so bad as you imply - though any litter is too much. <br />The bomb loading ramps are very overgrown now.<br />The hardened shelter is waterlogged. <br />I walk often at dusk and follow the Southern perimeter fence and often look out and imagine the Lancasters roaring down the runways.<br />Spine tingling.<br />Great article thanks Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
